Why Apply?

Applications to the Smart Approved WaterMark scheme are open to companies and organizations that manufacture and/or distribute a water-saving product or deliver a water-saving service in Australia.

There are a variety of reasons why people apply for use of the Smart Approved WaterMark label, including:

• corporate social responsibility and personal ethics
• gaining a marketing advantage, and
• getting a product into a water rebate scheme

In a recent NewsPoll survey over 97% of people thought that the water situation in Australian cities was serious or very serious. In the same survey, 89% thought that smart technologies were the key solution to reducing water use around the home.

Seeing a Smart WaterMark label on a product or service gives consumers confidence that they are buying a product or service which will help them reduce their water consumption around the home.
